"THE SOUNDS OF WINTER"
Saint Helens String Quartet
Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall
Winter has inspired many great composers to celebrate the season of snow and cold. Join the Saint Helens Quartet in a musical tribute to winter: Tchaikovsky's "Winter Dreams" from Symphony No. 1, Vivaldi's "Winter" from the Four Seasons, Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from the Nutcracker Suite, quartets from Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, and arrangements from the Disney classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Learn about the instruments of the string quartet and see the instruments up close onstage after the concert.
This 45-minute concert is particularly suited for children ages 6-12.
