7:00 PM FAMILY CONCERT*

“Dvořák in America: Themes and Variations on a Composer’s Life”


Czech composer Antonín Dvořák spent two years in America at the end of the 19th century, during which he composed some of his most famous works. Seattle's Klassikon String Quartet, including cellist and KUOW announcer Dave Beck, will explore some of Dvořák's musical themes and the American influences on his music.

This 45-minute concert is particularly suited for children ages 6-12.

* Free hotdogs and lemonade on the lawn at 6 PM!
